Victim/Witness Coordinator
The Wahkiakum County Prosecutor’s Office seeks a qualified individual to provide legal support services. Duties include but are not limited to: review case files to identify all potential witnesses; inform victims and witnesses on courtroom procedures, hearing dates, and status of the criminal case; accompany victims to criminal court proceedings; assist victims pursuant to the Victim Bill of Rights including completion of the impact statement, crime victims compensation, and restitution forms; assist in obtaining orders for protection; ensure that all available services are provided to victims and witnesses; assist victims to recover their property; issue subpoenas and coordinate victim and witness appearances in court; assist prosecutor in preparing cases for trial; establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement, community based advocates, officials, and related agencies; prepare legal forms and documents.
